“調(diào)休”的字面意思就是“調(diào)換休息時(shí)間”，特指“原定休假的時(shí)間不休息而調(diào)換到另外的時(shí)間再休息”，那么在英文中就可翻譯為change one's shift to get leave later。

“短假”英語怎么說？

“短期休假”是指歷時(shí)很短的假期，一般就是指兩三天的短假，在英文中就可用mini-break來表示。

例句：

“假條”我們可以說：leave of absence letter。

call in sick

sick作形容詞有“惡心的；生病的”等意思，如果你病得難受想請假，那么可以用call in sick這個(gè)短語，它在《麥克米倫高階英漢雙解詞典》中的英文釋義是：to phone someone at the place where you work to tell them you are too ill to work，表示“打電話（到單位）請病假”。
