中國日本就東海天然氣開采糾紛舉行談判 (China, Japan Open Talks on East China Sea Gas Dispute)

中國和日本官員在北京就長期爭執(zhí)的東海資源開采權(quán)問題舉行談判。東京首席談判代表在星期五的會晤之前表示，日本方面希望在前7輪談判沒有產(chǎn)生實質(zhì)性結(jié)果后，北京能夠提出新建議。

率領(lǐng)中國代表團的外交部官員表示，中國希望達成雙方都能夠接受的一項聯(lián)合開發(fā)計劃。

在中國總理溫家寶上個月訪日期間，中日雙方一致同意，尋求一項能夠讓雙方共同開發(fā)能源的妥協(xié)方案。

中國東部和日本南部沖繩列島之間有爭議的海域蘊藏著豐富的天然氣資源。

Chinese and Japanese officials have opened talks in Beijing on a long-standing dispute over drilling rights in the East China Sea. Before the start of Friday's meeting, Tokyo's head negotiator, said the Japanese side is hoping for new proposals from Beijing, after seven rounds of talks failed to yield substantial results.

Chinese Foreign Ministry officia, who leads China's delegation, says China wants to reach a joint development plan acceptable to both sides.

During a visit to Japan last month by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, the two sides agreed to find a compromise that would allow joint energy development.

The disputed area between eastern China and Japan's southern island chain of Okinawa is rich in gas deposits.
